The designer Stuart Weitzman commissioned her to transform shoes from his personal collection into ten ironic sculptures. The shoes became the window displays during Christmas, 2005 in his Madison Avenue boutique in New York, and then in his Easter window in Chicago, at his beautiful boutique on Michigan Avenue

The show ChocoDeliShoes, during Eurochocolate, 2004 at Perugia, the important festival dedicated to chocolate, attracted about 5,000 international visitors. On that occasion Stephanie created 26 shoe/sculptures, copyrighted, on the theme of “sweets and chocolate”. With their delicious and inviting aspect, the Delishoes confuse both journalists and the public alike: they are not to wear nor to eat, but only to admire! The press and television gave much attention to the show and to Stephanie’s creations, both for the originality of the shoes and for the fact that they really do look like chocolate.

The artist was also an invited guest on a children’s television show, RaiSat Ragazzi, “Giga – Le Stranezze” in which she created and showed how to make edible shoes.

Stephanie definitely does not limit herself to creating shoes: she is capable of transforming any object using her ironic imagination! The theme of food – always approached with delicious irony – is something that she is especially fond of: many of her drawings are inspired by food and sweets, and her illustrations, are often playful, like much of her art containing both visual and verbal irony.

Regarding her Delishoes, the artist dreams of creating a collection of real shoes, for women and girls so that her artwork can walk out into the world. Another idea is to publish a book of her photographs to take her designs into the homes of all who loves shoes and chocolate: that is, into the homes of everyone!
