“Close encounters: China” Photography show Stephanie Seymour
During a six-week residency in China, Stephanie Seymour took hundreds of photographs of which she exhibited a selection for the first time at Foligno for Humourfest, 2008 and that here she displays at Castiglione del Lago, in the magnificent environment of Palazzo della Corgna. Through these photographs one discovers the customs and the sense of hospitality of the inhabitants of Dalian, on the north eastern coast of China. Stephanie’s photographs express great humanity of the people she met and help one to reflect on the everyday life of the Chinese and their life condition. The artist hopes that her photographs can make the public more sensitive and stimulate them to find similarities between people of such different culture and history.
